FlowCam Nano for submicron particle characterization in biotherapeutic formulations

In this white paper, we demonstrate the utility of FlowCam Nano in detecting common types of biotherapeutic degradation and contamination.
In particular, we:
 

  • Analyze protein and sucrose aggregates as well as bacterial cells on both FlowCam Nano and FlowCam 8100, a traditional FIM instrument for subvisible particle analysis
  • Compare the particle size distribution and images obtained for the above samples on each FlowCam model 
  • Analyze dilutions of a bacteria solution on FlowCam Nano to assess the linearity of the reported particle concentrations
